Matthew Rodwell is a former rugby league player. He played for the Newcastle Knights, Western Reds, St. George Dragons, St. George Illawarra Dragons, Penrith Panthers and the Warrington Wolves as a half-back.
Rodwell was the Chief Executive of the Rugby League Professionals Association until April 2009, when he left the role to take up an Executive Manager role with the insurance company, GIO.
Matthew is currently part of the ABC Radio NRL Grandstand Rugby League commentary team. He is a valued member of the team that includes legend tacticians like Warren (Wok) Ryan. He is touted to take the reins from Wok in the next couple of years.[1]
